Ingredients

  • Fresh salmon (fillet, skinless and boneless)
  • Maple syrup

Melt-in-your-mouth salmon bites, gently slow-cooked and then glazed with maple syrup for a glossy, flavorful finish. A simple recipe that's sure to impress, perfect as an appetizer or starter.

Cooking

  • Cut the salmon into even cubes
  • Place the salmon cubes on a baking sheet or in an oven-safe dish
  • Bake at 80°C/176°F (low-heat oven, ideally with a probe thermometer or regular monitoring)
  • Glaze the salmon cubes with maple syrup
  • Continue cooking, glazing again every 25 minutes
  • Repeat the process until you reach the desired texture and color
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving

Tip

Use a pastry brush to evenly glaze each salmon cube, and keep an eye on the cooking process: at 80°C/176°F, the salmon stays tender at the core without drying out.
